After a year and an half of living here, we were finally able to fence in the pastures in June.
We have two fenced pastures, with a twelve-foot-wide aisle between them.
The wood fence shown in the photos, installed by Jordan Smith @ 928-0137, surround the most visible borders of the pastures. The side and back borders are lined with a fence product called HorseGuard, which is an excellent DIY product (we installed the fence after we had the t-posts (157) pounded in by guys much younger than I – although I had to pound them in an additional foot after Laura changed her mind about the height of the fence she wanted.
The plan is to rotate the equines between the pastures after one starts to show the affects of the grazing animals.
Hopefully by the end of August, we will have a run-in/barn built in each pasture.
